ABSTRACT: We report a family where 7 members in three successive generations were affected with lichen amyloidosis. Histopathology of the lesion with special stain for amyloid and polaroscopic examinations confirmed the diagnosis. Primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis is not an uncommon entity. Familial forms are however, very rare 1, and there have been only few case reports in the literature where more than one member of the family was affected 2-4.
