ABSTRACT: In a case of lupus vulgaris, the complications which are usually encourntered are secondary infection, tissue destruction and scarring. The latter may result in ectropion, microstomia, lymphoedema and gross deformity requiring plastic surgery. Squamous cell and less commonly basal cell carcinomas or sarcomas may occur insidiously, sometimes early in the disease but usually after 10-15 years and may be confused with renewed activity of the lupus itself 1. Squamous cell carcinoma arising in the lesion of lupus vulgaris has been reported by some authors 2-4. We here in report a male patient who developed squamous cell carcinoma in the lesion of lupus vulgaris two years later.
