ABSTRACT: In 30 vitiligo cases axon-reflex sweat secretion test with nicotine tartrate 1: 1000000 dilution and surface temperature were studied in comparison to normal adjacent skin. In 14 cases there was a decrease both in sweating and temperature and in 7 cases there was increased sweating with increase in temperature in vitiliginous area indicating an altered tone in cholinergic axon-reflex mechanism.
