ABSTRACT: Treatment of leprosy by multi-drug regimen (MDR) is not the final answer to the problem of its management. It is a transitional phase only. Need for development of new drug and new drug regimen is an urgent necessity. Present communication is a report of therapeutic assessment of a combination of active principal of two indigenous drugs plus dapsone. Preliminary report indicating that the the new drug regimen is comparable to MDR, clinically and reactional episodes are negligible in comparison to MDR.
