I don't intend to present a detailed report of CUTICON 2004, our 8th State conference of IADVL, WB State branch which was incidentally the 16th meeting of IADVL, WB. You were there, you've seen it all. All we wanted to put-up a great show, a state conference to remember.
Inaugurated by the creator of IADVL logo Dr. S. B. Mondal and marked by the auspicious presence of our ex-National Secretary and now President Elect of National IADVL Dr. Suresh Joshipura the scientific programme touched great heights. Illustrious faculties like Prof. A.J. Kanwar and Prof Anil Abraham kept the audience spell bound. Other than these some interesting topics like interdisciplinary dermatology lectures by eminent academicians in the city, mind boggling derma-debate session, captivating panel discussion, and brilliant award papers were also there.
The icing on the cake was an enthralling cultural evening with an exquisite stage show by Nabanritya dance troupe and an excellent performance by eminent singer performer Pratik Chowdhury.
With the firm support of nearly 50 pharma-friends (especially Croslands a Division of Ranbaxy and Palsons Drugs), attendance of an unprecedented 160+ delegates, classy badges, certificates and with a souvenir almost in the class of collector's item CUTICON 2004(the first CUTICON in history), is poised to be great event to remember.
I will be failing in my duties if I don't mention the support rendered by the Chairperson, Organizing Committee Dr. D. N. Gangopadhyay, the state IADVL Secretary Dr. Aloke Roy, the Treasurer Dr. Goutam Banerjee. The success of any academic meet depends upon the untiring effort of scientific committee. Here also there was no exception.
The Chairperson Dr. Sanjay Ghosh and Secretary Dr. Sandipan Dhar have managed to weave an excellent pattern of events. No words of praise are enough for them.
Other than these Dr. Nilendu Sarma, Dr. Piyali Mukherjee, Dr. Susmit Haldar, Dr. Srabani Ghosh Zoha, everybody chipped in with whatever job was assigned to them, as a result at the end of the day the most relaxed person in the auditorium was the organizing Secretary, himself.
All the credit goes to you all for making CUTICON 2004 a bright and glorious part of our history.Long Live IADVL, WB
